| 12/07 Hailey was entered in 5 conformation shows this year, amazingly she finishes the year tied for #18 all-breed. Thank you to Denise Dean, who gave her a Group 1 in Indiana this past April, which gave her quite a few all breed points, it was very exciting. 10/07 Kathy and Topaz completed their UKC CD this past weekend! Awesome you guys!!! Diane and Sam continue to do well. They picked up two UKC CD legs going HIT at both trials on the only day entered. Congratulations you two!! Dusty certified in tracking - Congratulations Anna and Dusty!! Lane FINALLY finished her CDX. I guess I have to enter trials to finish titles off though. She is very happy to be done with open work, she really seems to enjoy utility. She also finished her RA, as did Monster Hailey. 9/07 Lane finished her HSAs with a 4th place. I screwed up Lane's outrun, the judge generously gave us an 83.5 score. Again, my dogs need to put me in a pet home & get a real performance handler! Hailey picked up our first Open Fast leg over the Labor day weekend with a 1st place. However, I see that we really need to work on our team sports! A number of NQ's followed that Q. My dogs want to place me in a pet home so they can get a real performance handler. 8/07 Topaz tied for 14th Canadian BSD in all-breed points for '06. If only breed points were used, Topaz would have been #10th! You rock Topaz & Kathy!! 7/07 At the Kenai shows, Lane was awesome and earned her NAJ with 2 first places and a 2nd place, to Hailey, in the A classes. Hailey earned a NA, NAJ and NF will all first places from the "A" classes except for one second place in JWW, to her Mom. They did great for our first ever weekend agility trials! Good girlie girls!! Hailey also picked up a Group 4 under Col. Harold Brizee. Topaz & Kathy picked up 2 first places in Grad Novice - they were sooo cute together! Lane & Hailey are such good dogs - both girls picked up two HSAs legs at the German Shepherd Club of Alaska trial and the Alaska Group 7 herding trial - they each took home a HIT and a class placement for the weekend. This completed Hailey's HSAs. Very proud of the silly girls.! 6/07 Topaz & Kathy finished their RE today at the DOTCA trials! Congratulations again you two! You guys are just doing awesome! Dianna & Sam had a good time at the Yukon Kennel Club shows this year. Sam finished her Canadian championship with a Group 2. She also finished her Canadian CD with TWO HIT! Congratulations on a fabulously successful trip!! Topaz & Kathy continue to impress! Topaz completed the NADAC Tunnelers (O-TNN-N) with 5 - 1sts and a 2nd place. Topaz also completed her ASCA Jumpers (JS-N) with all 2nd places. Great job you two!!! Dusty finished his championship with a 4 pt major over two specials (one a multi group placing) at the Alaska Herding Group specialty. Awesome! CONGRATULATIONS ANNA & DUSTY! Sam took BOS at both specialty shows. 4-5/07 Kathy, Topaz, Hailey & I ventured south for a week long herding camp in Kansas at Jerry Rowe's and then to the Terv National Specialty in Nebraska. I had forgotten how much I hate ticks! We a great time at both enjoyed meeting some people we had only known through cyberspace prior. After two years of planning for this trip, the girls had their own agenda, coming into heat. Topaz was thinking so many boys & so little time ! There would be no obedience or rally for them while making us very unpopular with our dog owning friends! It was nice to have met several of the males I have been ogling online to help decide where to go next with Hailey. Topaz took a 4th in conformation herding titled bitches and looked awesome out there! At Hailey's first agility trial she earned a 1st in Novice JWW. Hailey also picked up a Group 1 at the Terra Haute Kennel Club under Ms. Denise Dean (Breed under Tom Coen) which was a wonderful surprise. 3/07 Gloria & Doc continue to impress me by picking up a UDX leg in Texas! You guys are wonderful! Kathy & Topaz continue on by picking up another Rally excellent leg. Congratulations you two!!!It has been unusually cold this winter, have spent more time hibernating and working than I really want to. 1/07 Happy New Years! |
