I had the great fortune of meeting Mr. & Mrs. A.C. "Red" or Arnold & Ruth Lane (Summit Lane Kennels), of Cape Cod, Mass when I was 11 years old. I spent that & many summers riding my bike to their kennel every day to play with (they called it socialize) their puppies. They gave me pup. He became multi HIT Can Ch. Summit's Shenandoah Am/Can CDX, Berm CD "Shane". There will never be another. He finished his Can CDX with a 199.5 ++. He was such a good boy! The Lanes were wonderful, patient teachers/mentors & the greatest thing to happen to an 11 year old kid who loved dogs. |
